Jos Smith, Darcie Radtke and Aisha Harley team up to capture Junk 2 Funk 2009 at the Crystal Ballroom
It was a thrilling night to photograph the Junk 2 Funk Recycled Fashion Show Contest at The Crystal Ballroom in Portland! The house was packed! Myself, Jos Smith (The Photographers), Darcie Radke (Truth in Light Photography, and Aisha Harley (Aisha Harley Photography) teamed up to capture multiple fashion shots of this fantastic show. It takes a serious team to capture this type of event! The lighting is very challenging. Models move fast. People pressing all around you. Each of us carried multiple cameras and lenses. Darcie shot from the balcony for an amazing set of long shots. Aisha strategized front stage left capturing creative low angles while Jos ran back and forth front stage right shooting tight and wide angles from the VIP section. Enjoy the following slide show, it was a labor of love. A love for sustainability and funky fashion!
